چکیده

A high-current, wide-band transconductance amplifier is described that provides an unprecedented level of output current at high frequencies with exceptional stability. It is capable of converting a signal voltage applied to its input into a groundreferenced output rms current up to 100 A over a frequency range from dc to 100 kHz with a useable frequency extending to 1 MHz. The amplifier has a 1000-W output capability :i:10 V of compJiance, and can deliver up to 400 A of pulsed peak-to-peak current. The amplifier .design is based on the principle of paralleling a number of precision bipolar voltage-to-current converters. The design incorporates a unique ranging system controlled by optoisolated switches, which permit a full-scale range from 5 A to 100 A. The design considerations for maintaining wide bandwidth, high output impedance, and unconditional stability for all loads are discussed.

Two-Stage Feedforward Class-AB CMOS OTA for Low-Voltage Filtering Applications

A compact OTA suitable for low-voltage active-RC and MOSFET-C filters is presented. The input stage of the OTA utilises the NMOS pseudo-differential amplifier with PMOS active load. The output stage relies upon the dual-mode feed-forward class-AB technique (based on an inverter-type transconductor) with common-mode rejection capability that incurs no penalty on transconductance/bias-current eff...

Design of an Output-Capacitorless Low-Dropout Regulator for Power Management Applications

This article aims to present the design of a 4.5-V, 450mA low drop-out (LDO) voltage linear regulator based on a twostage cascoded operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) as error amplifier. The aforementioned two-stage OTA is designed with cascoded current mirroring technique to boost up the output impedance. The proposed OTA has a DC gain of 101 dB under no load condition. The designed r...

Low-Voltage High-Linearity Wideband Current Differencing Transconductance Amplifier and Its Application on Current-Mode Active Filter

A low-voltage high-linearity wideband current differencing transconductance amplifier (CDTA) is presented in this paper. The CDTA consists of a current differencing circuit and a cross-coupling transconductance circuit. The PSPICE simulations of the proposed CDTA show a good performance: -3dB frequency bandwidth is about 900 MHz, low power consumption is 2.48 mW, input current linear range is ±...

OTA based 200 G{\Omega} resistance on 700 {\mu}m2 in 180 nm CMOS for neuromorphic applications

Generating an exponential decay function with a time constant on the order of hundreds of milliseconds is a mainstay for neuromorphic circuits. Usually, either subthreshold circuits or RC-decays based on transconductance amplifiers are used. In the latter case, transconductances in the 10 pS range are needed. However, state-of-the-art low-transconductance amplifiers still require too much circu...
